TWICE's Sana smiles on despite Instagram controversy about Japanese emperor

TWICE's Sana was seen smiling on despite the recent controversy surrounding her Instagram post.

Sana, Nayeon, and Chaeyoung grouped up behind the scenes of 'Show Champion' for a cute photo before TWICE went up on stage, and the Japanese member seems to be taking the controversy in stride.  

As previously reported, Sana made a post regarding the end of the Heisei era and Emperor Akihito stepping down from his throne, and some netizens are criticizing her post for being insensitive to Korean citizens as Japan never apologized for their occupation of Korea.

Sana was very brave earlier; she was clearly upset but fought back tears during Twice's live encore (Fancy 1st win).

I think she has 2 aces with her - loyal fans and Jihyo (who went to her side during the encore).

Cheer up Sana; you did nothing wrong. It'll clear up soon.
