During a comeback roundtable interview on May 15, Ladies' Code's Ashley told the story of how she first grew close with BLACKPINK's Rosé.

According to Ashley, the two girls first met when Rosé was still a trainee, and Ashley used to attend church by herself. Choosing to attend church due to the hardship of adjusting to life in Korea, Ashley shared, "During a church service, I happened to sit next to Rosé. It was a time to greet the people sitting next to you during the service. I thought she seemed like someone I could befriend, so I talked to her first, and it turned out that she was younger than me by 6 years. Rosé had also recently come to Korea at the time, so she had 'foreign' written all over her. After the service that day, we ate together and grew closer after that. Our families are also close."

Ashley added on, "I asked my mother to attend BLACKPINK's New York performance to meet Rosé's parents. I felt proud somehow. I'd love to perform in New York as well."
