On Wednesday May 5th, Chinese Baidu fan club for K-pop idol V, a member of South Korean boy band BTS, KIMTAEHYUNGBAR, has annouced that they set a record for the largest mass purchase made by a single fan club in China by buying 170,400 copies of BTS' album Map of the Soul: Persona.
The post noted that the fan club had sent the paperwork to Hanteo, a real time chart tracking platform for K-pop, to validate the authenticity of the purchases. Consequently, BTS' album Map of the Soul: Persona rised in Hanteo real time chart to first position.
BTS has dominated South Korea, US, Japan and Europe markets. Probably, it is high time to conquer China as well.
