Netizens have been discussing past photos of Yoochun's legs and hands following the news of his positive drug test.
The former JYJ member has retired from the entertainment industry, and he currently stands accused of using the illegal methamphetamine Philopon on at least 5 occasions. Past photos of injury marks on his legs and hands have now come to light, including one during his military service.
It's said Philopon users may sometimes inject the drugs through the veins in their legs, and the itching as a result of the injections causes the drug users to scratch, leading to scarring. It seems the scarring on Yoochun's legs and hands closely resemble scarring commonly seen on meth users, but nothing has been confirmed.
I'm mad that the laws for drugs are as strict as they are - people shouldn't be jailed for doing drugs, they should be rehabilitated. Jail people for dealing drugs.
Seriously, everyone seems to forget that addiction can be considered a mental illness. And how shit is it that if you do happen to fall into the clutches of an illness like drug addiction, you often can't seek help because the legal repercussions are too much to even consider.
