Singer Maybee apologized for her mother's unpaid debt controversy.
According to reports, Maybee's mother is accused of borrowing 50 million Won ($44,166.00 USD) from lender A in 2015 and not repaying the debt. Lender A stated, "I lent [Maybee's mother] money for her marriage fund... I've known Maybee's family for 20 years living in the same hometown. [Maybee's mother] did not have good credit, so I was going to refuse. However, we decided to transfer the money to a bank account under the name of Maybee."
Maybee came out to reports, saying, "In the middle of last year, a legal complaint came to the house, and that's when I learned my mother borrowed money from an acquaintance. At the time, I was pregnant, so I trusted my mother's words when she said she would take care of it. My mother then told me she didn't pay back the debt this past March, and we're currently in the midst of paying it back. I did not want to burden my husband or in-laws with this, and it's been difficult as I've been paying it back myself. I apologize to the victim."

*sighs heavily*
Someday, Asia (& the rest of the world) will be free of children being responsible for their parent's issues.
One day, if someone screws up, they - and ONLY they - will own up to it and handle it themselves.
