On April 12, the Korea Management Federation stepped up to released an official position in the ongoing legal dispute between singer Kang Daniel and his label, LM Entertainment.
The KMF stated, "Through a federation meeting held recently with board members, we have conducted research regarding the exclusive contract dispute between Kang Daniel and LM Entertainment, and we intend to take firm action against any found guilty of playing an illegal, third party influence role in this matter - as the act is a clear attempt to hinder the growth of K-Pop and intentionally disrupt a fair contract."
The federation continued, "We express deep concerns and regrets in the fact that there are ongoing allegation which suggest an unhealthy third party power in action, exercising harmful control over an artist with a bright future and leading them astray so that problems erupted with the artist's label."
Finally, the federation stressed, "In the case that such allegations are proven to be true in this dispute, we will utilize the federation full legal authority to make sure that this third party figure assumes all responsibility for the controversies caused."
Previously, media reports alleged that a third party figure from Hong Kong, female 'Seol', played a role in causing the current issues between Kang Daniel and his label.
I feel so bad for him.... This has set his career back so much.
