Entertainer Robert Holley (61) has been arrested for the possession and use of methamphetamine.
The elderly TV entertainer was brought in by police on April 8 at a parking lot in Seoul for allegedly buying meth on the internet and using it at home. He's reported to have sent money to a drug dealer online late last month, and he's reportedly admitted to the charges. Holley has also tested positive for meth by the National Forensic Service in a preliminary test, and it's currently under investigation whether he used the drugs alone or if others were involved.
According to reports on April 9, Robert Holley was acting strangely on the set of 'Strong People's Communication Concert'. A producer stated, "We couldn't even imagine he'd be charged for drug use. He seemed quieter than usual, and he also looked nervous. Even when panelist and Senator Choi In Ho was being friendly with him, he couldn't focus, and he occasionally talked to himself. When he was reading the prompt, he seemed nervous and confused. We thought he just had stage fright. We thought he would adjust as time went on, but the situation didn't improve." The producer added there were many times Robert Holley didn't seem to catch what was being said as well.
Stay tuned for updates.
