On April 3, EXO's Chen appeared as a guest during MBC FM4U 'Kim Shin Young's Noon Song of Hope' in light of his solo artist debut!

During this broadcast, Chen shared regarding his solo debut title track "Beautiful Goodbye", "It's a fairly sad song. It depicts the feelings of someone who loves another person very much, but who tries to let them go beautifully. I still haven't found the answer to how you can say goodbye to someone beautifully."

DJ Kim Shin Young responded to this with, "I think you can as long as you don't call them after you break up. Like texting, 'Are you awake?' after drinking." Chen agreed and said, "Cleanly, without any regrets. And especially, don't [call or text] them late at night, when emotions become exaggerated." 

Kim Shin Young then cornered Chen with the question, "Have you ever 'Are you awake?' texted someone before?" Chen was unable to give an answer to the question, and Kim Shin Young made up for it with, "Okay, we'll wrap this up here beautifully." 

Chen also told the story of how he was able to make his solo debut. "I actually suggested to the company that I wanted to release a solo album first. It was just a suggestion, but then a lot of great songs ended up coming together quickly and I was able to release an album in no time," the idol revealed.
