YG Entertainment has officially lost their 'Big 3' status.
According to a report by Sports Seoul on the 27th, the new 'Big 4' as evident by market capitalization is now composed of: SM, JYP, CJENM, and Big Hit.
YG Entertainment lost their 'Big 3' status due to the plummeting stock price in the past months due to 'Burning Sun' controversy. Above all, investors believe that although Winner and iKON have gained popularity in the past few years, their fandom has not grown enough to be able to sell out Dome tours like their fellow seniors Big Bang. BLACKPINK has also succeeded both at home and abroad but they're not able to sell out arenas to bring in enough sales.
In addition, with the controversies surrounding Big Bang and the remaining members in the army, drug problems and tax evasion suspicions, it is making it difficult for investors to anticipate an increase in future sales.
You guys know that 'Big3' is not an official thing right? You can't 'officially' lose it. Ehh who writes this sh*t.
