B1A4's CNU will be the first member of the group to enlist, WM Entertainment confirmed on January 4.
The label told media outlets in an official statement:
"WM Entertainment's label artist B1A4's CNU (Shin Dong Woo) has recently received his mandatory military enlistment summons, and as a citizen of the Republic of Korea, he will enlist as an active duty soldier in order to fulfill his duties to his country this January 22, 2019.
As a result, CNU will unavoidably be unable to attend B1A4's previously scheduled overseas events, and we ask for both domestic and international fans' understanding.
Please send CNU your encouragements so that he may fulfill his duties to his country in good health, and return with a more mature image. Thank you."
CNU's final activity before his brief hiatus will be on January 5 at B1A4's fan meeting, 'Be The One. All For One'.

I KNEW IT! I mean it doesn't hurt any less but I KNEW the hair cut and fitness routine had to be that military stuff. I'm so sad he finally gets to be the semi-leader and now he has to enlist. I wanted him to get a chance to write and make new music.
