Park Shin Yang underwent emergency back surgery amid rumors the actor is currently having issues with 'My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2' producers.

On January 24, Park Shin Yang's label stated, "Park Shin Yang received back disc surgery in the early morning. The surgery had good results, and he's currently in the middle of recovering." It's also reported the KBS drama 'My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2' will be delayed by 2 weeks as a result.

Rumors previously stated otherwise, alleging the actor did not undergo back surgery at all. One media source alleged, "Though it's been reported Park Shin Yang had to get emergency back surgery, that's not the case. He was injured after he rolled down stairs during filming. We think the injury got worse because he already had back problems." It was also said Park Shin Yang and PD Han Sung Woo of 'My Lawyer, Mr. Jo 2' have been in conflict, which led the actor to decide to take an extended break.
