Netizens are not believing YG's clarifications into the ongoing 'Burning Club' controversy.
After reading YG's clarifications about Seungri's club netizens replied saying, "It's so ridiculous that Seungri only resigned because of his upcoming army enlistment. He never mentioned the army at all recently but now suddenly he has plans to enlist? Then why hasn't he resigned from Aori Ramen too? And why did his mother resign from the club when Seungri's the one who has to go serve? None of their words are matching up."
Other netizens spoke up saying, "Just because he wasn't there doesn't absolve him of his responsibility. The point of the issue isn't whether he went home or used drugs at the club or not...it's what connections the club has with the police." Also, why are all the drug scandals in the country involving YG? from GD, Park Bom, famous stylists, composers...and now Seungri's club? Do you really think is all a coincidence? What relationship does YG have with the police?"
Many netizens are even questioning why this scandal isn't on the search rankings saying, "Isn't YG Naver's second-biggest stockholder? Is that why this has been completely erased from the search rankings? Every article that gets put up is taken back down. Stop distracting from the issue and answer what's going on with the police bribery and date rape drugs being used in the club."
It seems that the netizens are not believing YG's clarifications about the issue and want a statement directly from Seungri on what is going on and whether the club colluded with the Police to cover up the assault and drug allegations. Many are also calling for an investigation into YG Entertainment as a whole.
Stay tuned for more details.
I smell a witchhunt. It's a big deal only because Seungri's name is connected to the club. Doesn't matter that he wasn't there. Doesn't matter that he didn't have active control over the club or management. Doesn't matter that YGE doesn't have control over the personal business of their artists (even though netizens constantly claim YGE controls them too much). SR's name is connected, so that's enough to drag both SR and YGE through the mud. YG explained the resignation and netizens use SR's mother as "proof?" How about SR's mother not wanting to work there when SR is no longer involved? Makes sense she'd leave when he did.
