that's how a lot of kpop fans are. to them everyone except them is just being a "fake stan"

i dont believe in fake stans, and even saying that earns me haters in the community

i had a friend stop im-ing on tumblr because i told her that i dont believe in the concept of fake fan, and i dont think its my job as a fan to be judging the validity of someone else's fandom. that's between them and the artist they stan

that didn't go over well

but that was not a good person for me to befriend if they can't get/accept that simple concept

however if some fans can't call other fans fake and look down on them, they cant feel better than them. that's something insecure and petty people do

so basically, in my view: THOSE ARE NOT YOUR FRIENDS

and they are immature and petty

get better friends

never try to prove yourself to other fans. you dont owe them that. you dont owe them ANYTHING

if i had some friends who told me i was a fake fan because of some opinion i had i would be like "Think what you want" and move on like they never said anything. but i would really rethink being friends with them. because to me, friends are people who dont judge
