South Club's Nam Tae Hyun shared more about why he left YG Entertainment.
Back in November 2016, Nam Tae Hyun said goodbye to his life as an idol in order to pursue his passion for rock music. Nam Tae Hyun's style of music, as well as fashion and appearance drastically changed ever since then.
In an interview with Chosun Ilbo, Nam Tae Hyun recalled his idol days, and said, "I didn't leave (YG) on bad terms. I just wanted to live like myself. I was stressed about how the security and managers had to follow me from the parking lot to the convenience store even when I'm on a break."
Nam Tae Hyun participated in producing songs for WINNER under YG Entertainment. However, it was far from joyful. Nam Tae Hyun explained, "I only worried about coming up with lyrics and melodies that will become a hit. It was not fun at all."
Nam Tae Hyun also shared he had a hard time getting used to the freedom of organizing his own schedule after leaving the agency. He explained, "Because I was used to receiving the schedule message in the evening and just moving my body to it the next day."
