Footage of Zico's performance in Pyongyang has been revealed.
Back on September 18, Zico, Ailee, ALi, and magician Choi Hyun Woo traveled to North Korea to perform at the '2018 Inter-Korean Summit'. At the event, Zico performed his solo hip-hop track "Artist".
On JTBC's 'News Room', politician Kim Hong Gul, who also attended the event, sat down for a discussion with the anchor.
The two watched footage of Zico performing the upbeat song in front of the North Korean audience. Kim Hong Gul commented that the majority of the North Korean audience didn't know how to react and was startled by the never-before-seen hip-hop stage. He added the people who were clapping to Zico's performance were mostly South Koreans.
In an interview with Yonhap News, Zico has also shared about his experience performing for the North Korea audience. He stated, "I was worried that hip-hop might not fit with the event since it's an unfamiliar genre (with North Koreans) but their reactions were great."
