Ousted South Korean President Park Geun Hye (66) underwent her 2nd court trial on August 24 at Seoul's High Court.
During this trial, Judge Kim Moon Suk declared an increased sentence for the former president for "misuse of government authoritative powers", accepting bribes from large corporations, and several other charges. As of August 24, Park Geun Hye faces a fine of 20 billion KRW (~ 17.8 million USD), plus 25 years in prison. Previously, the sentence consisted of an 18 billion KRW fine plus 24 years in prison.
