The older brother of Ryu Philip (28) revealed he was against Philip's marriage with singer Mina (45).
On the July 18 broadcast of KBS 2TV's 'Mr. House Husband Season 2', it was revealed that Ryu Philip's older brother Park Dae Hoon (35) was against Philip's marriage with Mina. Dae Hoon said, "While Philip and Suzy (Philip's sister) were living in the United States, I was living here in Korea. I was a bit of a loner. It is also why I am still awkward with them." Philip said similarly, "I'm still a little awkward with hyung. Although we're family, we never lived together, and our separate pasts have created this distance from one another."
Ryu Philip's mother revealed that Dae Hoon tried to intervene, quoting him, "Isn't it your duty as a mother to stop this?"
Philip was upset, and in reply said, "I thought hyung would understand." and fought with Dae Hoon. It was later revealed by the mother of why Dae Hoon was really against the marriage. She said, "Philip and Dae Hoon's relationship was awkward already, but watching Philip's situation transpire from the sidelines was even more awkward for Dae Hoon. He was sad, and wanted the best for his little brother."
