On the February 24 installment of SBS Plus' 'Everybody is Dating Except Me', HaHa revealed someone has been impersonating his identity. During the show, a topic of online dating came up where HaHa said, "There are good things about online dating but there many cases where people are abusing it."

He recalled a time when Lee Kwang Soo, a close friend, and his drama team had dinner at HaHa's restaurant and during the time, one actress whom HaHa never met before approached him and acted friendly with him. According to HaHa, she said, "Oppa, you're very different from your usual self." It was at this time when he learned about a 'group chatting room' and that someone had been pretending to be HaHa to send amorous signals/messages.

Since then, HaHa took a screenshot of the chat and warned the individual to stop. While it momentarily paused, the person continued after some time. HaHa warned once more during the broadcast, "If you're watching this then stop! You're in huge trouble!"
