The 2AM member left JYP Entertainment after 16 years and signed the contract with Cube. In regards to his big decision, Jo Kwon commented, "I didn't think my move was such a big issue but I was under JYP for a total of 16 years including my time on the 'Talent & Live Voice Project 99%'. Many people said I'm like an iconic figure of JYP and I will lay my bones there, and become the head director of the company."

He jokingly added, "If I really did become a head director, then I wouldn't have left JYP", however, "I think I've stayed in JYP enough and displayed all of my talent and abilities."
Jo Kwon continued to explain his decision to leave the agency, saying, "I've spent a happy time with JYP and 2AM but as I approached my 30s, I needed a new start and a turning point."
