Girl's Day's Hyeri posted an honest, handwritten letter on her fan cafe, to address fans about her recently ended drama, 'Two Cops'.
In MBC's 'Two Cops', which came to a wraps this January 16, Hyeri played the lead role of a female reporter. However, she received criticism from viewers and netizens for her "inexperienced" acting, and the drama also garnered negative attention.
Read Hyeri's letter below:
"To my loving fans.
It's been a very long time. You're well? I worry that you might catch a cold in this cold weather. I'm very very healthy and well. I can't quite believe [the drama] is over, so here I am, trying to express myself in a few words.
First and foremost, I just want to say thank you. You always cheered me on, felt my pain, and were always beside me. I believe you had good things, but also feelings of disappointment and distress. Because you cheered me on even harder without showing that, I was sorrier.
I will put in efforts so that I do not stop at just being sorry, but I continue and look back, reflect, so that I can take another step forward... little by little.
It's now come to my 8th year since I debuted. Time flies. I want to remain as an admirable, better person to you. That's why I've become more serious, with more inner concerns.
This year, I'll work harder! I want to create a lot of opportunities to show the 25-year old Hyeri. So you all need to take care of your health while we run together. Eat your meals regularly! I miss you and miss you. Let's meet soon.
I think these memories spent these past 3 months with such great people will remain precious to me for a long time. I hope so for you all, too. I wanted to say thank you, but I don't know if my heart went though. Thank you so much.
Finally, I had a happy day today thanks to you all. Watch out for colds. See you again!"
