On August 22, Sunmi held a showcase for new solo album 'Gashina'. The singer was given varying questions about her first music release since joining MAKE US Entertainment, and she was also asked about the reason she left the major label JYPE.

Sunmi explained, "I felt like a frog in a well. I was under JYPE for 10 years. It was difficult to leave and I'm also afraid of new things, but the reason I made the decision was that I felt like my perspective was limited. I believed there would be a different world (outside of JYPE)."
She also compared her former and current labels, and said, "JYPE is a long-running agency so it's very systematic whereas the style of MAKE US Entertainment is freer."
Following Wonder Girls' disbandment, Sunmi signed with MAKE US Entertainment. You can check out her comeback with ''Gashina" MV here.
