Even though YMC Entertainment had claimed the pink and blue colors were just temporary, Wanna One has released goods to their debut show-con showing that the colors might be staying permanent. While some had argued that the colors were pink and sky blue, the same colors 'Produce 101' had used for seasons 1 and 2, even some Wannables agree that the color selection is way too similar.

After seeing the concert goods, Carats heavily protested the goods, citing that this was exactly what they had been worried about. It's fair enough that someone looking at Wanna One goods and Seventeen goods could be confused.
The subject of official fandom colors is a touchy issue in K-pop, as it represents the entire fandom and it's also for artists to be able to spot their fans in a crowd. This is why many of the newer fandoms have started to combine colors as it's starting to get hard to find colors that aren't similar to the already existing colors. Even many Wannables are protesting the similar colors and are instead vouching for a combination of Pantone 16-4530 TPX Aquarius and Pantone 14-4102 TPX Glacier Gray.
Both Carats and Wannables are demanding some kind of feedback from YMC Entertainment and trending "#?????_???_???_???", or "Rosenity is Seventeen's precious official color". The tag is one of the top trending tags in Korea.
