On August 14, BOYS24 announced via their official SNS page,
"Good afternoon, H:Our. This is MMO Entertainment.
First of all, thank you for your unconditional love for BOYS24. Last August 12, after a year and half, the debut members from BOYS24 were finally selected through your voting at 'BOYS4 THE FINAL'.
However, after having a deep conversation with Sungho Jin, 7th place among 9 members, we found that he has a different musical point of view, so Sungho finally decided to leave the debut team.
We are sorry to say this but we still want to support him as much as we can.
Thank you and please keep loving and supporting BOYS24's debut team and Sungho."
Jin Sung Ho of MMO Entertainment also dedicated a handwritten letter to fans, which read, "Hello. This is boy Sungho. A year and 6 months! You went through a lot, our beloved H:Our. I hope that your time with us boys remains a good memory, and that your time with me also remains a good memory. From here on, I ask that you cheer all of us boys on, and I ask for me, Sungho's new challenges. I wish you only an abundance of good things, and don't be sick! I hope you'll only have good thoughts! I am incredibly thankful, and I love you! Love u H:Our! Love u Andante! This has been Wassup It's ya boy BC boy Sungho. Thank you!"
