The rep said, "Last October, YG's main producer Yang Hyun Suk and the 4 members of WINNER got together for an emergency meeting to discuss the vacancy that Nam Tae Hyun left in the group."�

It's been revealed that during the discussion, in the likelihood that the group decided to recruit a new member, rapper One was the first choice candidate. The option was under review due to the fact that One is close to WINNER's Song Min Ho, whom he appeared in 'Show Me The Money 5' with, in addition to being around the same age as WINNER. There were no other close contenders other than One, reportedly.�

Ultimately, WINNER decided to remain a 4-member group, with the biggest reason being, "Because One had been preparing his solo debut for a long time before the incident, and at the time, many of the songs on One's debut album set for July 11 had been completed."�

Meanwhile, One will be re-debuting as the first male solo artist under YG Entertainment since Se7en's debut in 2003.�
