Matthew said how he was in favor of his daughter becoming an idol star and was asked about his impression of J.Y. Park. He said, "I had always thought that J.Y. Park's plastic pants were pure genius. I thought that perhaps there was a shift in Korean music due to J.Y. Park's plastic pants and Seo Taiji's long hairstyle."
