With a role in the popular movie 'The King' which has drawn more than 5 million admissions to the box office, the singer turned actress talked about acting in the film as she gave a stunning performance playing the role of a drug addict.

In regards to filming the scandalous bed scene, Jooyeon commented, "I drank some champagne before filming the bed scene in order to portray a hazy expression.  I started the shoot feeling buzzed. Honestly, in the beginning, the bed scene was very provocative.  So I had a meeting with the director to tone it down a bit.  It was not an easy decision to make."

Apart from the seductive bed scene, Jooyeon illustrated a natural expression smiling brightly for the photo shoot. "It was fun posing naturally in a laid-back setting."  Her transformation didn't stop there.  Jooyeon also starred in the historical drama 'Saimdang, Light's Diary'.

She commented on acting in her first historial drama, "I was nervous since this was my first drama.  I had prepared so much for my role, however, I wasn't able to give a 100% performance."

Jooyeon talked about her hardships transitioning from idol star to actress, "I wanted to become an actress when I was little.  I didn't want to present myself as a singer at first, but I feel like it's not necessary to throw away my idol image.  There are many idols who act nowadays.  The experience of becoming a singer has helped me become more relaxed in front of the camera as well as memorizing my lines."

She added, "I spent a lot of my days living in a communal atmosphere as well as living with family even after I became an actress so I had been craving to live alone.  I settled down at my own place after wanting to live independently and have my own space.  I am currently enjoying MBC's 'I Live Alone' and would like to guest star in it next time."
