Channel A obtained the exclusive footage and reported that Key East Entertainment provided false information about the incident.
On March 30, Key East Entertainment announced the reason Kim Hyun Joong went behind the wheels while under the influence was because "he received a request to move his car to another spot." The label also claimed that Kim Hyun Joong drove no further than 1km (~.62mi).
However, the CCTV footage shows that Kim Hyun Joong actually drove about 3km (1.86mi) and fell asleep at a red light. He remained at the light for about 15 minutes while other cars drove around him. He was later awakened by the police after a passerby reported the suspicious vehicle.

In response to Chanel A's revelation of the truth, Key East Entertainment stated, "We didn't intend to create excuses for his wrongdoings. We just reported what we have heard at the time. As we have initially announced, he has accepted his wrongdoings and is taking time of reflection."
Currently, Kim Hyun Joong's license is suspended and his comeback fan meeting scheduled in April is most likely to be canceled.
