During a recent interview, Yesung talked about Super Junior's hiatus, saying, "The concert 'Super Show' can be considered the biggest event for Super Junior but it's been 5 years since I've done one."
He then revealed, "I think it'll be a new beginning once the 86-line returns. There'll still be some members missing but it's our goal to release an album this year for the waiting fans. The members recently got together when Siwon came out for a vacation. We made plans for the album that'll be released in the second half of the year. Not only album but we also talked about concerts, variety shows, and other things you can't imagine."

Yesung also shared what Super Junior means to him. He said, "It's a team that allowed me to be where I am. I was under SM for 17 years and promoted in Super Junior for 12 years. I couldn't be 100% satisfied throughout that time and I could've been hurt but SM and Super Junior are what allowed me to be here. I believe I should be grateful. I was also the one to step up whenever we talked about contract renewal with the label."
