BEST K-DRAMA CONFESSIONS
Even better than the kiss in K-drama is the confession. I can well imagine many writers slaving over a keyboard for hours, figuring out how to bring out the best in their characters. But some are better than others. We missed Confession Day for this one, but Christmas is right around the corner. Here are the ones I remember most fondly, ranked from 10 to 1.
#10 'Boys Over Flowers'
Frankly, I thought some of his other antics (like the helicopter ride) were goofy and all about him, but this was the best confession I'd heard from Jun Pyo. He was completely vulnerable here, as he opens up to Jan Di and they share their first kiss.#9 'The Sun of My Master'
If romance was a sport, the Hong sisters would be Olympic medalists. Nowhere is this more evident than in 'The Sun of My master.' Chock full of cute moments, this supernatural romance swept the ratings and haunted our hearts. It took a while, but finally, under pressure, Joong Won confesses his love for Gong Shi. 54:22 is where you'll hear the exchange.#8 'Coffee Prince'
In one of the more gutsy confessions, Goong Yoo all of a sudden kisses Eun Hye. While she was still stunned, he threw us for a bigger loop when he told her, "I like you..whether you're a man or an alien, none of that matters," and kisses her again. Great kiss, romantic confession. For the record, this never happened to me when I was painting!#7 'Hyde, Jekyll, and I'
?If you're going for adorable, this is the way to go. Robin can't explain things, and asks Ha Na to understand. I wish I had puppets to help when I had a hard time with a confession.#6 'Blood'
This had me tearing up. It's beautiful, because Ji Sang wants to be human, and Ri Ta couldn't care less. They were both shuffling, awkward, and everything you needed to be when you confess.#5 'Orange Marmalade'
It's so cute when they have to beat around the bush, but I love how an apology turns into a confession. I also love it when Ma Ri figures out what Jung Min is getting at and says "I like you" first.#4 'Pinocchio'
This is hilarious and cute. In Ha asks Dal Po casually if they can go back to their nice, platonic uncle-niece relationship. He says, "I can't do that, can you?" She replies yes but hiccups, letting us know she's lying. She starts to walk away, he spins her around, and this happens:#3 'You Who Came From The Stars'
This was so full of affectionate moments that a full-on confession was difficult to wrangle up. Most of the time Song Yi was confused, telling him to go away or just admit it. Still, there was a time that was as much an admission of love as anything. Song Yi takes him to task for his reticence, yelling, "You never said you liked me! I hope you know how selfish you are!" Hit the 3:52 mark and check out his epic response:#2 'Healer'
He wants to protect his secret I.D. and tell her he loves her. So what does he do? She keeps her eyes covered with her hat, but he lifts it just enough, and kisses her. A wordless confession, tenderly delivered. Cue the music, the snowflakes, the feels.#1 'The Girl Who Can See Smells'
While Moo Gak already confessed, this was an awesome way to propose. Yes, you've got the colored lights all over in a "I must outdo my neighbor at Xmas" display, but catering to Cho Rim's powers gave it that personal touch that had me smiling and in tears. Now it's your turn. Which ones plucked at your heartstrings? Any on this list speak to you? I want to hear from you guys.
