In a recent interview, Kang Dong Won talked about his label which he signed on with early this year. He said, "I was aware but YG really doesn't interfere. I actually really hate interference. My mom doesn't even interfere [with my business]. YG doesn't touch on me to the point where I go, 'Is it ok for them to not interfere this much?'"

He also revealed that he has only been to the YG building twice. Kang Dong Won explained, "I've been to the office only twice. I went because they said I should come at least once since I signed the contract. I was curious about the cafeteria, too. (laugh). Another time I visited was when I was near the office and had to go to the bathroom really bad. (laugh)"
