MAMAMOO cancelled their guest appearance on MC Mong's end-of-the-year concert to the relief and praise of fans who were worried for the girls' reputation.
MAMAMOO uploaded on their official website a changed schedule with a post titled, "Notice about the December 4 MC Mong Concert Schedule." It stated, "We notify you of MAMAMOO canceling their appearance as guests at MC Mong's concert because it was difficult to adjust broadcasting schedules."

Fans are happy to hear the news because ever since MC Mong's military evasion controversy, which led to a long legal battle, anyone who's been involved with MC Mong has been getting a lot of negative feedback from the public and netizens.
One fan wrote, "I was worried that MAMAMOO would get hate comments for this. Thank you, agency!!" Another agreed, "I don't know why it was scheduled in the first place."
A netizen reacted to the cancellation by saying, "Good decision. Why go there while sacrificing their public image?" Another netizen wrote, "Whatever the reason for canceling really was, it's good news. I would've been disappointed if they had gone."
