In the midst of numerous reports of Korean tourists receiving racially-charged attacks in Japan, some Koreans are bringing up a video of a Japanese woman getting verbally attacked.
Uploaded earlier this year, Japanese BJ (broadcast jockey or streamer) Rika was live streaming her program on AfreecaTV (similar to Twitch), where she had a segment featuring "phone dates" with her viewers. Rika is Japanese but she streams her shows on the Korean platform, to a mainly Korean audience.
One viewer called in and started to hurl racial insults to Rika. He said, "Say, 'Dokdo is Korea's, you crazy bxxxx," "Why are you broadcasting to Korea, you Jap," "Why do Japanese people talk like re*****," and "you're a monkey!"

The attack lasted for 9 minutes, and her viewers, who could comment live in the chatbox, expressed their anger and concerns. Rika comforted her audience by saying that she doesn't get hurt, but many were still outraged, asking the BJ to file a lawsuit against the caller.
Netizens who are just learning about this past incident are leaving comments like, "I am embarrassed. I apologize on behalf of Koreans," and "He is a loser."
Rika herself left a comment on the viral video on YouTube, saying, "I am okay...I still really, really like Korea."
