Badges designed by high school students to support comfort women victims was a big success as all the badges sold out in a few days!
A student club named, 'Remember,' at Moo Hahk Girls High School announced that all the badges have been sold out after first going on sale on Monday, October 10. Each badge was sold at 2,000 KRW (approximately $1.76 USD).
Due to the huge influx of orders, the students announced that they cannot accept any more orders for the time being. They stated, "We regret to inform you that we must end the sales of the badges; there is only 9 of us to package a total of 5,000 badges to be shipped off."

The students have already sold the badges in their own school and donated the proceeds to a center that takes care of sex slave victims -- who are now elderly ladies in their 80's and 90's. The girls even visited some of the victims who are hospitalized and encouraged them.
'Remember' started with 4 high school students who wanted to educate people about Korea's history, including the issue of comfort women.
It is reported that the students worked hard during the midterm period to design and make the badges. The students announced, "Because we are students and don't have that much time free time, we are planning another sale next year. Nothing is determined yet, so we apologize for not being able to give any specific answers."
Don't apologize, girls! This is an amazing work of kindness and thoughtfulness! Great work!
