On the August 5 airing of 'Sketchbook,' F.T. Island's drummer Minhwan admitted to being moved to tears upon seeing Hongki's face in the past.

Minhwan confessed, "I went through a slump a while back. When I called Hongki at five in the morning, he was drinking like I thought he'd be. So I went to meet him, and I started crying as soon as I saw his face. I realized then and there that I have a deep, strengthening trust in [Hongki] which negates the need to say any words."
Minhwan then revealed the reason for his slump, saying, "I've been playing the drums since my elementary school days but there are people who still don't know that I'm really playing the drums."
