A restaurant owner is being applauded and commended by netizens for his charity towards the elderly!
According to Insight, a story of this restaurant owner was recently shared online, and according to the post, the owner has been providing free food to the elderly for three years running.
The owner, identified as 40-year-old Shin, runs a restaurant in Gyeonggi Province's Uijeongbu. For three years, without fail, Shin's been serving free food to the elderly folk in his neighborhood on the third Tuesday of every month.
In the winter, Shin serves the elderly with warm gukbap or janchi guksu, and in the summer, he prepares cool, refreshing bowls of naengmyeon.

Despite wanting to quit the restaurant business when the MERS outbreak cut his business by more than half, Shin had forged on thinking of the elderly.
Shin reportedly informed Insight in an interview, "I want to keep serving [the elderly] until my restaurant goes out of business. It is my wish that more business owners would also do what I do in this bleak world."
