Yoo said, "After seeing the Marines PR video, a shiver went down my spine. I'm the type to seek out a challenge and I thought that if I can do this, then I can accomplish anything, so I decided to apply to be a Marines lieutenant."

The Ministry of National Defense has revealed its plans to establish an ROTC program at another women's university in oder to increase the opportunity for females to become officers in the military. Sookmyung Women's University was the first women's university to have an ROTC program set up, and Sungshin Women's University followed soon thereafter.
