Sungshin Women's University revealed this past January 29 that Yoo Ho In was announced as the final candidate for the Marine Corps' 'Nationwide Colleges' ROTC cadet officer for 2015.'

Cadet Yoo will received the education necessary for her commissioning before officially being inducted as a second lieutenant in the Marines at the joint military inaugural ceremony to be held on March 4. Yoo will serve for a total of two years.
Yoo said, "After seeing the Marines PR video, a shiver went down my spine. I'm the type to seek out a challenge and I thought that if I can do this, then I can accomplish anything, so I decided to apply to be a Marines lieutenant."
The Ministry of National Defense has revealed its plans to establish an ROTC program at another women's university in oder to increase the opportunity for females to become officers in the military. Sookmyung Women's University was the first women's university to have an ROTC program set up, and Sungshin Women's University followed soon thereafter.
