In the film, Hoya plays the younger brother who dreams of becoming a singer and Ahn Bo Hyun plays the older brother who is a bit of a recluse and a hoodlum. The two, who live close to each other in real life, developed their offscreen friendship eating out and drinking together.

In the interview portion of the photoshoot, Hoya said, "The director heard a lot about me so he made me the younger brother Jinho. Like Jinho, I've also failed auditions around 27 times and I also dropped out of school in a similar fashion," explaining the similarities he shares with his character in the movie.
The idol also joked, "I'm wondering whether I should invite the INFINITE members to the film screening. When I'm acting out a serious scene in the movie, the members will surely poke fun."
