Korea's Habitat for Humanity recently revealed on its homepage the heart-wrenching yet moving story of a 10-year-old girl named Un Hee and her destitute family situation.
For two years, Un Hee has been acting as a surrogate guardian to her older brother, who has an intellectual disability, in place of her parents.
Every day has been a struggle for Un Hee's family since her father's hands became paralyzed after complications from a surgery, disabling him from doing any sort of work.
Currently, Un Hee's family is getting by on the income the mother brings home from her work.

Un Hee, who lives in a derelict home that leaks when it rains and is cold during the winter time, has declared that her dream is to be an architect so that she may build a sturdy and strong home for her family one day.
She also said that she is proud of her brother saying, "To other people my brother may have a disability, but in my mind he doesn't have a disability; he is strong and cool. I'm not embarrassed but proud of him."
Un Hee expressed her wish for people to "love people with intellectual disabilities like her brother," and determined, "Even when mom and dad pass away from old age and aren't here anymore, I'll take care of my brother until the very end."
