KBS's '9 O'Clock News' reported on January 11 that the�Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency�decided to re-investigate an assault case subsequent an online post titled 'My older brother was the victim of an assault in Gangnam' sparked a controversy.�

At the time of the assault, the police delayed investigation based on grounds of insufficient evidence. However, when the case blew up online and became a controversy, they initiated yet another investigation after appointing a total of five detective teams.�

The police relayed, "We investigated the vicinity of the area where the incident occurred and studied the CCTV footage but we couldn't ascertain the suspect's identity. We don't think it was a random assault but we feel deeply responsible for not being able to apprehend the culprit."�
