Heechul stood in as a substitute MC in place of Jun Hyun Moo on MBN's variety program 'National Championship,' and was the victim of merciless teasing by the regulars on the show.
The MCs teased him, "We heard you're scheming to be a permanent MC on 'National Championship,'" Heechul carefully answered, "'Even the elderly seem to like 'National Championship' and I think it's a good show. Jun Hyun Moo is a junior at my company."

Yoo Jung Soo shot back, "I don't think you're right for our program." Heechul managed to keep his cool and said, "I may only be substituting for Jun Hyun Moo but I could take his place [on the show]."
