Apparently, it wasn't enough that Hotel Chosun stepped up themselves to confirm Chef Mikhal had indeed been a chef at their hotel. The original outlet that had claimed he was only a hall server once again claimed, "Mikhal is lying," and revealed his resume that listed that he had worked as a hall server at the Bulgarian Sheraton Hotel. They also revealed a past newspaper article that introduced Mikhal as a hall server. They added, "Employees who worked with Mikhal all said he was a hall server. Hotel Chosun has ordered an internal silence on this matter."

However, Sports Chosun called Hotel Chosun, who said, "In our records, it says clearly that he was working as a chef when he left. There is no reason for us to lie about this. We know Mikhal is a celebrity, but there's honestly no need for us to order Hotel Chosun employees to remain silent about this. We never said Mikhal was not a hall server at our hotel, but the reports are coming out like we lied. He did serve as a hall server, and also as a chef in the kitchen. Records prove that. We stated as our records said. A 'chef' is not always the 'head chef' that controls the kitchen. You can't say he wasn't a chef because he wasn't the head chef."
Mikhal himself had admitted previously that he had worked as a hall server because that was the route all chefs took, from the beginning. His labels aid, "It's true that he worked as a chef at Hotel Chosun, and he has a chef license. This is a conspiracy against Mikhal, and we will be taking legal action against false information."
