Mnet has confirmed that 'Superstar K8' is in the works.
The broadcast company told OSEN, "It's true we're planning for it, but there's no details confirmed for it yet".

Many had questioned the future of the 'Superstar K' series, as season 7 gathered almost no attention except negative ones. Contestant Shin Ye Young's revelation about the show caused even further controversy, but Mnet has decided to continue on with the audition program.
