A brave Hanyang University student who managed to catch a robber with a lethal weapon was recognized with a commendation from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency!
On their official Facebook page, the Seoul Police uploaded a picture of the handsome college student, named Jang Dong Yoon, receiving a commendation award along with an explanation of how he "calmly used his wits to assist in the arrest of the criminal."
Jang, who came across a robber threatening a convenience store clerk with a weapon last month in Seoul's Gwanak District, devised a quick plan to have the culprit arrested.
At the time, Jang had called the police after he saw the robber's weapon and used his quick wit to ask the store clerk for the store's address while the police was on the line. Due to his quick action, the robber was quickly caught.
