The actress plays the role of Hyejin, someone who lacked little in her childhood but loses everything including her looks due to unforeseen familial circumstances.
Hwang Jung Eum told the press, "I felt no worries about ruining my image for the drama. But I'm afraid that people will switch the channel because I come out looking too hideous. I'm anxious about how I'll overcome this dilemma. I looked so ugly that I even became depressed. I trusted that the director will find the happy medium."
She continued by joking, "Well, I don't hear it so much now, but when I was young I was told so often how pretty I was so it's okay if I ruin my image this much. I'm already pretty enough, so I'm not afraid to bring myself down a notch," laughing as she said so.
Don't worry Hwang Jung Eum, you are plenty pretty enough that some real work will have to be done for you to look anything close to hideous!
