Experience Jeju Island's Scenic Waterfalls
Jeju's popular waterfalls are one of the most majestic scenes you will see anywhere in the world and they are mostly concentrated around the Seogwipo area! The three top waterfalls consist of: Jeongbang Waterfall, Cheonjaeyeon Waterfall, and Cheonjiyeon Waterfall. Whichever one you visit, you will encounter various tourists with their breath taken away as they gaze upon the magnificent sights.
While Jeongbang Waterfall is described as the only waterfall in Asia to fall directly into the sea, Cheonjaeyeon Waterfall is considered as the best tourist site. As for Cheonjiyeon, visitors can walk down a serene path that leads from the park entrance back to the falls.
Mt. Halla
Though not everyone might be equipped to challenge on the main 1950m (6400 feet) summit via a 9km / 5 mile (five hour one-way) hike, there are less demanding trail options (ranging from 30 minutes to 3.5 hours) that deliver the Halla experience. Expect magnificent foliage, awe inspiring rock formations and hordes of fashionable hikers sporting the absolute latest in alpine gear.
Olle Trails
In traditional Jeju dialect, Olle is the narrow path running from one's front door to the street. Today, Olle refers to an integrated network of 26 well-marked hiking paths that spider across the island. Jeju has set up around twenty walking paths called Olle Trails (lengths vary between 7 and 23 kilometers long). The routes are marked by arrows, sculptures, or colored tags which leads you through the most picturesque mountain scenery and astonishing beachfront shores. Walking the Olle Trails are free of charge and coastal bus routes make regular stops at different points on the trail.
Barbecued Black Pork
It wouldn't be a real visit to Jeju Island if you didn't get to try their most famous dish- barbecued black pork! As Jeju's signature dish, barbecued black pork is available in almost every city and village on the island. Barbecued black pork is known to be cooked slowly over charcoal briquettes and seasoned with salt and black pepper on the grill for maximum flavor.
