On the July 20th broadcast of SBS Power FM's 'Choi Hwa Jung's Power Time', DJ Choi Hwa Jung asked the members if they ever cried on stage. Sunggyu answered, "I've never once cried while singing. Even when I feel emotional, strangely I don't want to cry where there are a lot of people."
However, it turns out that the leader shed quite a lot of tears during INFINITE's early days. Woohyun told a tale of the time when Sunggyu once bawled his eyes out. He said, "[Sunggyu] cried a lot in front of me. We were all being scolded at one time. Sunggyu was the first [to be scolded], and I was the second. As soon as he came out, he sank down on the pavement and cried. I think he was having a hard time after coming up from Jeonju all alone," and gave the surprising confession that he was actually the leader back then, not Sunngyu.
Sunggyu wasn't the only one who turned on the water works during INFINITE's trainee days. Maknae Sungjong revealed, "I cried a lot in the bathroom when I was a trainee. It's already been seven years since then," expressing his disbelief at just how fast the time seems to fly.
The DJ consoled them, saying, "You guys used to cry so much, but now you guys are successful," complimenting the group on how hard they have worked to become what they are today. Sungjong humbly replied, "We still have a long ways to go. We have many mountains to climb. INFINITE has no limit," exhibiting the group's resolve to make an even bigger name for themselves in the years to come.
