To the young female student struggling to make her parents understand her dreams of becoming a singer, Jimin revealed that she was exiled to China by her mother because of her passion for music.
Jimin said, "[My mom] just sent me to China. Because I didn't listen. When I was that age, all I knew was music and singing," stating that her mother was adamantly against Jimin becoming a singer.

However, the female idol went on to reveal that once she got into college and signed with an entertainment label, her mother started to notice that Jimin actually had talent and skills to make it in the entertainment industry.
Following Jimin's comment, CEO Han Seung Ho complimented, "As for Jimin, her vocal and the feeling that she gave off was really nice. Her voice tone, pitch, and rhythm, they were all perfect."
