Everybody's prediction has come true. Heather Cho is now out on probation after originally being sentenced to a year in prison for what she did on the airplane.
On May 22, the Seoul High Court overturned the original conviction during the sentence hearing for her appeals trial, changing the 1-year jail sentence to a 10-month jail sentence after a 2-year stay of execution, meaning she's basically on probation. If she does something wrong within those two years, she will then need to serve ten years in prison. She has reportedly been released from the prison now.

The attorney appears to be addressing her changing the course of movement for the air flight by turning the plane around while it was leaving by saying the plane had still been on the runway, which could not count as changing the course of the flight.
