As part of his promotions for his solo debut, B2ST's Hyunseung sat down and spoke with Asia Today on May 14 about Big Bang and how he performs on stage. He spoke fondly of the Big Bang members, as he had once been a trainee with them and almost became a member of the group back in the day.
Hyunseung said, "I didn't have the feeling 'It's been a long time' when I started promoting at the same time as Big Bang. That's because we've kept in touch personally. I'm glad that we're promoting at the same time. I don't think of them as competitors and I just want to have fun together. If I became unknown after being eliminated from Big Bang or if B2ST did not receive a lot of love, then I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it like this. I see this as a nice picture. I hope people will see it like that too."
In regards to the way he changes when he steps onto the stage, he said "When I go up on stage, my enthusiasm naturally goes up. I'm personally on the quiet side and I'm not that social so I don't know how I become so different on stage. I want to be told by my sunbaes, 'he's pretty good' and to hear from hoobaes, 'I could learn from him'."
