On July 29, a shocking clip of a Korean female teacher slapping her students was uploaded on YouTube channel KupaMario. The video, titled, "Female teacher hits female students across the face," has been gaining attention from Korean netizens due to its self-explanatory title and content.
In the rather blurry clip, the teacher can be seen slapping her students so hard, that their faces jerk from the blow and the sound travels across the room. The teacher scolds her students while hitting them, saying, "I definitely told you I would hit you guys," "You guys are all deceitful," and to one particular student, "You're the worst one, you class president."
Throughout the clip, she hits a total of nine students. She even hits one student three times. At the 0:13 second mark, when the student tries to soften the blow of the slap by protecting her face with her hand, the teacher says, "What is this, what is this, what is this?" as if offended, and continues to hit her until she is satisfied.
Although it remains unknown who recorded the video, as well as who the teacher is and what school this is taking place in, the uploader expresses his/her concern in the description. "Although I don't know what they did wrong… they got slapped one after the other. [They got hit] pretty strongly, firmly…;;. I think the cause behind this punishment needs to be investigated."
No matter the cause, the method of discipline is too harsh for a teacher to carry out with her students.
